Broadchurch drops to new low of 4.7m on Monday night

Broadchurch fell to a new low rating on Monday, overnight data reveals.

The ITV drama dropped by around 400,000 viewers from last week to an average 4.76 million (19.7%) at 9pm (530k/3.3% on +1). Earlier, Richard Wilson's On the Road brought in 2.86m (12.3%) at 8pm (120k/0.5%).

BBC One's Silent Witness topped the night, rising by 200k from last week to 5.73m (23.7%) at 9pm. Inside Out appealed to 3.81m (17.3%) at 7.30pm, while Panorama interested 2.77m (11.8%) at 8.30pm.

On BBC Two, University Challenge quizzed 2.93m (12.5%) at 8pm, followed by Only Connect with 2.28m (9.7%) at 8.30pm. A Cook Abroad gathered 1.56m (6.5%) at 9pm, while Backchat amused 850k (4.8%) at 10pm.

Channel 4's The Jump entertained 1.76m (7.5%) at 8pm (232k/1.0%), dropping by around 800k from Sunday's launch show. The Undateables was seen by 1.76m (7.3%) at 9pm (434k/2.8%), while Catastrophe tickled 639k (3.7%) at 10pm (141k/1.6%).

On Channel 5, Celebrity Big Brother continued with 1.35m (5.8%) at 8pm (318k/1.3%), climbing to 2.06m (8.5%) at 9pm (533k/3.4%). 10,000 BC launched with 1.26m (7.8%) at 10pm (209k/2.5%).
