Still Open All Hours was Sunday's (December 28) highest rated show with 6.39 million (28.1%) viewers.
Viewing figures for the second episode of the David Jason-starring comedy were up by 700k compared to the first episode which aired on Boxing Day.
It was followed by 4.88 million (19.6%) for the Antiques Roadshow Watch at 8pm and 5.68 million (24.3%) for Last Tango in Halifax at 9pm.
Featuring highlights from Arsenal v West Ham and Man City v Burnley, Match of the Day was seen by 3.39 million (24.5%) at 10.30pm.
The second part of the Top Gear Patagonia Special was seen by an average audience of 4.84 million on BBC Two at 8pm, while Racing Legends: Barry Sheene drew 1.47 million (6.4%) at 9.05pm.
ITV's evening kicked off with 2.95 million (13.5%) for Unbelievable Moments Caught on Camera at 7pm, followed by 3.78 million (15.2%) for All Star Family Fortunes Christmas Special at 8pm and 3.37 million (14.5%) for All New It'll Be Alright on the Night at 9pm.
Through the Christmas Keyhole rounded things off with 1.18 million (7.3%) at 10.15pm.
The return of The Hotel secured 1.53 million viewers for Channel 4 at 8pm, while the Homeland season four finale was seen by 1.31 million (5.7%) immediately after.
Channel 5's coverage of World's Strongest Man 2014 reeled in 727k (3.3%) at 7pm, while Can't Pay? We'll Take It Away followed with 415k (1.7%) at 8pm.
Most Shocking Celebrity Moments 2014 secured an evening high of 782k (4.4%) for the channel at 9pm.
With 1.15 million viewers (4.7%), BBC Three's 8pm showing of Shrek 2 was among the most popular multichannel shows.
