The Apprentice climbed back to its third-highest-rated episode of the series on Wednesday, overnight data reveals.
The interview stage of the BBC One competition rose by around 800,000 viewers from last week to 6.38 million (28.3%) on average at 9pm. BBC Two's You're Fired! brought in 2.42m (13.5%) at 10pm.
Earlier on BBC Two, MasterChef: The Professionals continued with 3.10m (14.4%) at 8pm, followed by Secrets of the Castle with 1.64m (7.3%) at 9pm.
On ITV, Surprise, Surprise entertained 3.05m (14.1%) at 8pm (173k/0.8% on +1), while documentary Hit & Run interested 1.76m (7.8%) at 9pm (196k/1.2%).
Channel 4's Posh Pawn appealed to 1.64m (7.7%) at 8pm (148k/0.7%), followed by the 2014 Comedy Awards with 1.27m (6.6%) at 9pm (119k/1.0%). This is down slightly from last year's ceremony, which brought in 1.34m.
On Channel 5, Gibraltar: Britain in the Sun was seen by 629k (2.9%) at 8pm. Benefits Britain attracted 1.27m (5.6%) at 9pm (135k/0.8%), while My Crazy Christmas Obsession brought in 661k (4.2%) at 10pm.
BBC Three's Christmas edition of Sweat the Small Stuff gathered 236k (1.3%) at 10pm.
