Steph & Dom Meet Nigel Farage was seen by nearly 2 million viewers on a quiet Monday evening, overnight data reveals.
The Gogglebox stars' dinner with the UKIP leader intrigued 1.92m (10.9%) at 10pm on Channel 4, with an added 144,000 (1.5%) on +1.
Earlier, Dogs: Their Secret Lives appealed to 1.11m (4.8%) at 8pm (131k/0.6% on +1), followed by Skint with 1.58m (7.5%) at 9pm (228k/1.5%).
The low-rated evening saw BBC One's The One Show topping the night outside soaps with 4.30m (21.2%) at 7pm, followed by a Fake Britain repeat with 3.37m (15.9%) at 7.30pm. Panorama interested 2.43m (10.5%) at 8.30pm, while Wild Weather brought in 2.76m (13.0%) at 9pm.
On BBC Two, University Challenge quizzed 2.81m (12.3%) at 8pm, followed by Only Connect with 2.33m (10.1%) at 8.30pm. Canterbury Cathedral was seen by 1.45m (6.8%) at 9pm, while Never Mind the Buzzcocks amused 897k (5.0%) at 10pm.
ITV's Bette Midler: One Night Only entertained 2.77m (13.1%) at 9pm (148k/0.9%).
On Channel 5, the latest Gotham attracted 1.18m (5.6%) at 9pm (128k/0.8%).
Russell Brand's special End the Drugs War fascinated 519k (2.5%) at 9pm on BBC Three.
E4's Made in Chelsea climbed back up to 644k (3.0%) at 9pm (103k/0.7%).
