Children in Need peaks with 9.81 million viewers on Friday

Children in Need peaked with 9.81 million viewers on BBC One last night (November 15).

The annual fundraiser attracted an average audience of 8.29 million (35.9%) from 7.30pm until 10pm.

Average viewing figures dropped to 4.21 million (21.8%) when it switched to BBC Two for 45-minutes at 10pm, while the final few hours were seen by 2.76 million (34.6%).

It was preceded by The One Show, which played to 5.32 million (28.4%) at 7pm on BBC One.

Over on ITV, Secrets from the Sky was seen by 2.36 million (10.4%) at 8pm, while drama series Lewis reeled in 3.51 million (15.1%) at 9pm.

BBC Two's evening kicked off with 860k (4.1%) for The Home That Two Built at 7pm, followed by 1.27 million (5.5%) for Mastermind, 930k (3.9%) for Tom Kerridge's Best Ever Dishes and 1.10 million (4.7%) for The Fish Market: Inside Billingsgate.

Gogglebox was once again Channel 4's highest-rated show, playing to 2.36 million (10.1%) at 9pm. It was sandwiched between Marvel's Agents of SHIELD with 840k (3.6%) at 8pm and 890k (5.1%) for Alan Carr: Chatty Man at 10pm.

Over on Channel 5, Rome: The World's First Superpower was seen by 540k (2.3%) at 8pm, followed by 573k (2.5%) for Alex Polizzi's Secret Italy and 608k (3.3%) for Body of Proof at 10pm.

Family Guy was among the most popular multichannel shows, peaking with 487k (5.1%) at 11.40pm.
