The Apprentice holds steady at 6m for latest firing

The Apprentice held steady to top Wednesday evening's (October 22) ratings, overnight data reveals.

Lord Alan Sugar's latest firings equalled last week's average figure of 6.07 million (25.6%) at 9pm. BBC Two's You're Fired followed with 2.14m (11.7%) at 10pm.

On BBC Two, Trust Me, I'm a Doctor brought in 2.26m (10.6%) at 8pm, followed by Gunpowder 5/11 with 1.15m (4.8%) at 9pm.

ITV's Surprise, Surprise returned for a new series with 3.52m (16.4%) at 8pm (224,000/0.9% on +1). Scott & Bailey attracted 3.84m (16.1%) at 9pm (283k/2.4%).

On Channel 4, Supervet was seen by 1.36m (6.4%) at 8pm (134k/0.6%), while Grand Designs interested 1.43m (6.0%) at 9pm (273k/1.7%).

Channel 5's Nightmare Neighbour Next Door gathered 1.10m (5.2%) at 8pm (124k/0.5%), followed by Can't Pay? We'll Take It Away with 1.35m (5.7%) at 9pm (171k/1.0%). Wentworth's latest episode appealed to 599k (3.7%) at 10pm (117k/1.5%).

ITV2's coverage of the 2014 MOBO Awards entertained 410k (1.8%) at 8pm. ITV's repeat at 10.45pm was seen by 361k (4.3%).
