The latest Celebrity Big Brother live eviction peaked with 1.74 million on Channel 5.
Friday's (September 5) double eviction entertained an average audience of 1.61 million (8.4%) from 9pm, as Kellie Maloney and Stephanie Pratt were the latest to leave the house.
In a change from the regularly scheduled programming, it was followed by 811k (5.9%) for an episode of The Joan Rivers Position and 519k (0.9%) for Big Brother's Bit on the Side.
The One Show kicked off the evening with 2.95 million (17.2%) at 7pm on BBC One. It was followed by 2.57 million (13.7%) for A Question of Sport at 7.30pm, and 2.62 million (13%) for Scrappers at 8.30pm.
BBC One's steady viewing figures continued with 2.86 million (14.1%) for Boomers at 9pm, followed by 2.64 million (13.2%) for Big School.
Outnumbered and Live at the Apollo ended the evening with respective viewing figures of 1.83 million (14.3%) and 1.22 million (12.3%).
Over on ITV, Gino's Italian Escape: A Taste of the Sun entertained 2.62 million (13.4%) at 8pm, while 2.31 million (11.5%) tuned in to watch the new series of Piers Morgan's Life Stories at 9pm. Morgan's first guest was Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon.
Celebrity Antiques Road Trip kicked things off for BBC Two with 1.12 million (6.3%) at 7pm. It was followed by 1.82 million (9.3%) for Mastermind and 1.51 million (7.4%) for Hairy Bakers.
BBC Two's evening peaked with 2.49 million (12.2%) for The Great British Bake Off, An Extra Slice, while Gardeners' World attracted 2.04 million (10.2%) immediately after.
8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown was Channel 4's highest-rated show of the evening, attracting 1.57 million (7.8%) at 9pm.
It was sandwiched between 890k (4.4%) for The Million Pound Drop and 1.13 million (7%) for The Last Leg at 10pm.
Family Guy was once again the most popular multichannel show, peaking with 648k (9.4%) viewers at 11.50pm.
