Casualty watched by 3.9 million viewers on Saturday night

The latest episode of Casualty was watched by close to 4 million viewers last night (June 14), according to overnight data.

BBC One's medical drama treated 3.89m (19%) from 9.10pm, following Pointless (4.11m/23.5%) and The National Lottery: In It to Win It (3.81m/19.8%).

Meanwhile, ITV's coverage of Uruguay vs Costa Rica averaged 5.46m (28.6%) with a peak of 7.11m at 9.45pm.

BBC Two aired Yes, Prime Minister (1.11m/6%), I Love 1988 (968k/4.9%) and Red Dwarf (750k/3.8%).

On Channel 4, an showing of Tom Hanks film Forrest Gump appealed to 901k (4.5%) from 9pm.

Channel 5's Big Brother: Power Trip took 782k (4%), with 336k (1.7%) sticking around for Bit on the Side.

Earlier, Autopsy: Whitney Houston's Last Hours had 504k (2.5%).

On the multichannels, ITV3's Doc Martin grabbed 779k (4.1%) in the 8pm hour, and Wallander attracted 590k (2.9%) on BBC Four.
