The Walking Dead dropped by Channel 5

The Walking Dead has been dropped by Channel 5.



The zombie drama is shown first in the UK on FOX, but until now would later air on Channel 5 or 5*. However, the channel confirmed today (January 23) that it won't broadcast the upcoming season four.

The Walking Dead's cancellation on Channel 5 follows the news of two other US series to be dropped by the broadcaster.

Digital Spy revealed last week that the channel will not be airing the fifth season of Justified.

Last month, Channel 5 confirmed that it was removing Once Upon a Time from its schedules after two seasons.

For the first time, new episodes of the show will air in the UK on FOX less than 24 hours after US transmission.

The Walking Dead season 4, part B starts on Monday, February 10 at 9pm on FOX.
