Silent Witness was last night's (January 17) highest-rated show outside of soaps.
The BBC One crime drama continues to dominate Friday night ratings, this week drawing an average of 5.73m (24.1%) viewers - an additional 230k on last week's figures.
By comparison, ITV pulled an average of 2.86m viewers (12.1%) in the 9pm slot (+1: 275.5k) for Piers Morgan's Life Stories featuring Men Behaving Badly star Neil Morrissey.
BBC One maintained control over the evening, with The One Show drawing 4.38m (21.8%) at 7pm, followed by Celebrity Mastermind with 3.12m (14.9%).
Sitcom Miranda grew the channel's audience to 3.73m at 8.30pm. The Graham Norton Show, featuring Girls star Lena Dunham, actress Olivia Colman, Idris Elba and Keane, attracted 3.63m (25.3%) at 10.45pm.
The Martin Lewis Money Show provided ITV's best non-soap ratings at 8pm, with an audience of 3.05m (13.7%). An additional 154.4k tuned in on +1.
On BBC Two, Mastermind took a 9.3% audience share, with 2.08m tuning in. The return of An Island Parish also performed well, with 2.11m (9.1%) at 8.30pm. Stephen Fry's QI saw an audience of 1.84m (9.1%).
Channel 4 panel show 8 Out of 10 Cats does Countdown attracted 1.73m (7.3%; 1+: 323.5k), shedding 110k viewers from last week's special crossover. Sarah Millican: Chatterbox Live followed with 1.1m viewers (7.3%).
Celebrity Big Brother continued to deliver strong ratings for Channel 5, with 2.35m (10.4%) tuning in for Lionel Blair's eviction (+1: 161.6k). Companion show Celebrity Big Brother's Bit On The Side drew 889.5k (6.1%) immediately after (+1: 68.5k).
BBC Three's repeat of Sherlock conclusion 'His Last Vow' pulled 466.9k (2.1%) at 9pm, while the second in a Family Guy double was the most popular multi-channel show at 11.25pm with 904.4k viewers (8.8%).
