Prisoner re-make

I was under the impression that this was to be aired by ITV "early" 2010. I've seen nothing about it. Anyone else know anything?

I believe the DVD is to be released early May 2010.

I certainly don't recall seeing anything out it - unless it was shown on one of the digitial channels

The ITV press office just says "coming soon". It flopped when shown on US cable and ITV probably regret ever having bought it now?

There are many British classics which should never be remade, this is one of them.

It started last night.

I recorded it and watched it in the early hours.I was that enthralled and riveted I fell asleep after about 30 minutes. I doubt I'll bother with the rest of the series.
