Rachel Riley spells 'arse' on 'Countdown'

Rachel Riley spelled out the word 'arse' on today's episode of Countdown (September 20).



During one of the early rounds on the Channel 4 quiz show, which is hosted by Nick Hewer, Riley was placing the randomly-ordered consonant and vowel tiles onto the letters board when the rude word emerged.

As the word was gradually spelled out, both Riley and the studio audience tittered.

After the 30-second timer had run out, both contestants revealed they had formed the seven-letter word 'coarser' from the nine letters provided.

Riley is currently taking part in BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing, but is said to be finding training tough, as she has "two left feet".

"I've never danced any steps in my life, so I'm struggling," she explained.
