BBC Two drama Peaky Blinders attracted over 2 million viewers on its debut on Thursday, according to overnight data.
The period crime series starring Cillian Murphy and Sam Neill attracted 2.42m (11.2%) at 9pm.
Earlier, Harvest 2013 was seen by 2.19m (10.3%) at 8pm, while Mock the Week amused 1.29m (7.4%) at 10pm.
On BBC One, Crimewatch interested 3.10m (14.4%) at 9pm. Later, Question Time gathered 1.74m (16.9%) at 10.35pm.
ITV's Pat and Cabbage dropped around 300k from last week to 2.79m (13.4%) at 8.30pm (133k/0.6% on +1), while Tamsin Greig's The Guilty lost almost a million from its premiere to 2.73m (12.6%) at 9pm (232k/1.5%).
On Channel 4, Location, Location, Location continued with 2.17m (10.3%) at 8pm (269k/1.2%), followed by Educating Yorkshire with 2.78m (12.9%) at 9pm (484k/3.1%). Bouncers appealed to 1.77m (11.5%) at 10pm (291k/3.5%).
Channel 5's Celebrity Big Brother entertained 1.44m (6.7%) at 9pm (246k/1.6%).
On ITV2, The Big Reunion dipped to 191k (0.9%) at 9pm, while Celebrity Juice tickled 819k (5.1%) at 10pm (162k/1.8%).
