True Entertainment is joining Freeview from 6am Tuesday in the second round of changes on Freeview this month. Viewers will find the channel on channel 61, but may need to retune or add new channels first.
The CSC Media owned channel first appeared on Ofcom's list of stations licenced to broadcast on Freeview yesterday. It's the first CSC Media channel to launch on Freeview. Other channels operated by the company include Freesat channels Chart Show TV and True Movies.
True Entertainment is the home of classic US family drama series including The Waltons and made for TV movies.
In other Freeview news, Smash Hits Radio has closed. Owners Bauer Media have replaced the station with KISS FRESH on Channel 712.
ESPN has been removed from channel 34, after ceasing to broadcast at the stroke of midnight into 1st August. ESPN continues via BT TV and Sky.
