BBC Two drama Top of the Lake debuted with 1.93m (10.5%) from 9.10pm on Saturday (July 13), overnight data suggests.
The six-part series, created and directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Jane Campion, stars Mad Men's Elisabeth Moss as a detective who returns to New Zealand to investigate the disappearance of a 12-year-old pregnant girl.
Meanwhile, Your Face Sounds Familiar continued with 2.87m (18.4%) on ITV at 7.30pm, down 150k on last week.
The channel earlier showed You've Been Framed at 7pm, picking up 2.27m (16.4%). All Star Family Fortunes earned 2.46m (13.7%) at 8.45pm, while The Americans was seen by 930k (5.3%) at 9.45pm.
Over on BBC One, The Queen's Coronation Festival Gala attracted 3.09m (20.9%) from 7pm, after which The National Lottery: In It to Win It retained the same figures as last week with 3.56m (21.4%) at 8.15pm. Casualty was watched by 4.18m (22.7%) at 9.15pm and Mrs Brown's Boys pulled in 4.32m (25.1%) at 10pm.
Back on BBC Two, Natural World aired from 7.45pm, with 1.22m (7.8%) tuning in.QI XL had 1.31m (7.8%) at 8.30pm and Alive: Rankin Faces Death - A Culture Show Special interested 500k (3.4%) at 10.15pm.
Channel 4 showed Grand Designs to 490k (3.2%) at 7.30pm. The Million Pound Drop Live attracted 790k (4.5%) at 8.15pm, after which 2010 movie Repo Men took 580k (4.5%) at 10pm.
Elsewhere, Channel 5 showed cricket between 7pm and 8pm on Channel 5, attracting 876k (6%). A double bill of NCIS then had 665k (4.1%) and 717k (3.9%) respectively from 8.15pm and the latest episode of Big Brother interested 1m (6.5%) at 10pm. Big Brother's Bit on the Psych grabbed 513k (5%) from 11pm.
Lewis was the highest rated show on the multichannels, picking up 835k (4.8%) on ITV3 at 9pm.
