Silent Witness was back for its 5,578th series last night - well, its 19th - and it remains as popular as ever.
The BBC One drama starring Emilia Fox attracted an average overnight audience of 6.54 million (27.8%) at 9pm. This is down only slightly from last year's 6.66m opening.
Over on ITV, Ant & Dec's special documentary about Prince Charles and The Prince's Trust - complete with a Byker Grove trip - interested 5.41m (24.3%) at 9pm (401,000/2.7% on +1).
Channel 4's The Undateables returned for a new series with 1.77m (7.5%) at 9pm (348k/2.0%).
On E4, the Made in Chelsea reunion special dipped to just 311k (1.3%) at 9pm.
