The ITV comedy show was seen by an average audience of 4.37 million (20.8%) at 9pm.
Elsewhere, ITV secured average ratings of 3.32 million (15.4%) for Barging Round Britain with John Sergeant at 8pm.
The One Show kicked off BBC One's evening with 3.9 million (20.2%) at 7pm. It was followed by 3.01 million (14.7%) for A Question of Sport at 7.30pm and 3.47 million (16.2%) for Room 101 at 8.30pm.
BBC One's evening continued with 2.92 million (13.9%) for The Musketeers at 9pm and ended with 3.42 million (25.6%) for The Graham Norton Show at 10.35pm.
Over on BBC Two, Antiques Road Trip was seen by an audience of 1.45 million (7.3%) at 7pm, followed by 2.07 million (9.6%) for Mastermind and 1.51 million (7%) at 8.30pm.
Italy Unpacked averaged 1.62 million (7.7%) at 9pm, while QI ended the evening with 1.21 million (6.6%).
On Channel 4, Jamie and Jimmy's Friday Night Feast entertained 1.23 million (5.7%) at 8pm, followed by 1.72 million (8.1%) for 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and 1.31 million (8%) for The Last Leg.
With 1.17 million viewers (5.9%), NCIS: New Orleans was Channel 5's highest-rated show of the night, while Ice Road Truckers drew an average audience of 799k (3.7%) at 8pm.
With an average audience of 497k (2.3%), ITV3's 8pm showing of Agatha Christie's Marple was among the highest-rated multichannel shows.
