Death in Paradise still top on Tuesday with 6.5 million

Death in Paradise continued its ratings victory on Tuesday night (February 25) outside of soaps, according to overnight data.

The BBC One crime drama climbed slightly from last week to 6.51 million (27.2%) at 9pm. Later, Traffic Cops was seen by 2.41m (20.9%) at 10.35pm.

BBC Two's Great British Sewing Bee dropped around 500,000 viewers from last week's opener to 2.57m (10.9%) at 8pm. Permission Impossible gathered 1.47m (6.9%) at 7pm. Later, documentary The Necessary War brought in 1.56m (6.5%) at 9pm.

ITV's coverage of Manchester United's Champions League loss scored 4.98m (21.2%) at 7.30pm.

On Channel 4, Kirstie's Best of Both Worlds appealed to 1.53m (6.5%) at 8pm (226k/0.9% on +1), followed by The Taste with 768k (3.2%) at 9pm and new series Strippers with 1.33m (8.1%) at 10pm (194k/2.2%).

Channel 5's Benidorm ER attracted 781k (3.3%) at 8pm, while The Mentalist excited 1.08m (4.5%) at 9pm (188k/1.1%). Law & Order: SVU was seen by 737k (4.4%) at 10pm.

BBC Three's new series Hair interested 784k (3.3%) at 9pm, followed by the return of Pramface with 487k (2.7%) at 10pm.

On E4, Troy amazed 447k (2.7%) at 10pm (112k/1.3%). Sky1's final Extreme World with Ross Kemp brought in 300k (1.3%) at 9pm.
