'The Apprentice' climbs in ratings

The Apprentice continued to climb in the ratings on BBC One, overnight data reveals.

The fourth episode of the series - in which Uzma Yakoob was fired after farm shop gaffes - gained a further 400,000 viewers from last week, climbing to 6.21 million (25.8%) at 9pm. This is higher than the show's premiere episode, which took in 6.01m on May 7.

Earlier, Watchdog attracted 4.14m (19.8%) at 8pm, while A Question of Sport quizzed 2.33m (17.6%) at 10.35pm.

On BBC Two, the Chelsea Flower Show coverage won 2.22m (10.6%) at 8pm, followed by Bankers with 1.08m (4.5%) at 9pm.

The Apprentice: You're Fired gained 60,000 to 1.97m (9.9%) at 10pm, while Newsnight was seen by 1.01m (7.9%) at 10.30pm.

ITV's All Star Mr & Mrs entertained 3.81m (18.2%) at 8pm (210k/0.9% on +1). The penultimate episode of Scott & Bailey dipped 200,000 viewers to 4.47m (18.5%) at 9pm (332k/1.9%).

On Channel 4, Location, Location, Location brought in 1.15m (5.5%) at 8pm (171k/0.7%). 24 Hours in A&E grabbed 1.95m (8.1%) at 9pm (376k/2.2%) and 10 O'Clock Live dropped to 655k (3.7%) at 10pm (130k/1.5%).

Channel 5's Emergency Bikers secured 924k (4.4%) at 8pm. NCIS continued with 1.46m (6.0%) at 9.15pm.

On BBC Three, Family Guy peaked with 805k (7.4%) at 11pm.
