Scott and Bailey dips but wins ratings for ITV on Wednesday

Scott and Bailey topped Wednesday evening's ratings outside of soaps, overnight data reveals.

The ITV crime drama dipped from last week to 4.53 million viewers (20.2%) at 9pm on ITV, with a further 236,000 (1.4%) on ITV+1.

Food Glorious Food continued to drop in the ratings with its penultimate episode to 1.98m (9.1%) at 8pm.

BBC One's MasterChef entered the knockout stage, grabbing 4.54m (20.7%) at 8pm. A New Tricks repeat earned 2.78m (12.4%) at 9pm.

On BBC Two, an edited package of Margaret Thatcher's funeral brought in 694k (3.4%) at 7pm. Coast attracted 2.18m (10.0%) at 9pm, while the documentary Israel: Facing the Future brought in 930k (4.1%) at 10pm.

Channel 4's Phil Spencer: Secret Agent was seen by 1.41m (6.4%) at 8pm (225k/1.0% on +1). 24 Hours in A&E continued to perform well from last week's premiere with 2.63m (11.7%) at 9pm (475k/2.9% on +1).

On Channel 5, Rolf's Animal Clinic achieved 846k (3.9%) at 8pm. NCIS thrilled 1.13m (5.0%) at 9pm, while Law & Order: SVU grabbed 770k (4.5%) at 10pm.

BBC Three's Traffic Cops attracted 589k (2.7%) at 8pm, followed by Britain's Youngest Head Chef with 448k (2.0%) at 9pm.

On ITV2, Benidorm amused 675k (3.0%) at 9pm. A further 151k (0.9%) watched on ITV2+1.
