Channel 5's scandal-ridden reality show recorded an audience of 2.26 million (11.9%) in the 10pm hour, while Sarah Millican's Television Programme fell to 1.72m (8.4%).

Elsewhere, Death in Paradise climbed to a superb 6.7m (26.7%) in the 9pm hour, its second-largest audience on record - the second series premiere had 7m a fortnight ago.

Meanwhile, Channel 4 achieved another Tuesday ratings win over ITV with The Undateables on fine form. The controversial reality show's latest edition logged 2.69m (10.7%) and 388,000 on +1, a slightly lower figure than last week's, which hit an all-time high.

However, it was enough to outperform ITV's new factual series Great Houses with Julian Fellowes which began with 2.02m (8.1%) plus 186k on timeshift.

At the same time, BBC Two's Locomotion interested 1.85m (7.3%), and Body of Proof attracted 1.01m (4.5%) to 5 (+1: 176k).

The Great Comic Relief Bake Off's popularity meant ITV had to settle for third place in the 8pm hour too, with the BBC Two celebrity spinoff winning 4.19m (16.8%), while Celebrity Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? mustered 2.5m (10%) as well as 153k on +1.

Supersize v Superskinny maintained its lead over 5 rival Benidorm ER with 1.58m (6.4%) versus 1.29m (5.2%) - the former also appealing to a further 322k on Channel 4 +1.
