Ratings: 'Celebrity Juice' return tops 1.5 million for ITV2

Celebrity Juice's autumn run began with an audience of 1.8 million last night (August 30) including +1, the latest overnight data shows.

The Keith Lemon panel show's Olympics-themed eighth series opener appealed to 1.48m (7.9%), and 315k (3%) on ITV2 +1.

Despite topping the multichannel ratings by some distance, the show's audience was a tad lower than February's record-breaking winter launch.

Lemon La Vida Loca followed with 701k (5.7%) at 10.45pm (+1: 143k/2.3%), after which three more editions of the mockumentary aired back-to-back to lower audiences.

Paralympics coverage on Channel 4 scored 2.44m (11.1%) between 7pm and 10.30pm, adding 106k (0.5%) on timeshift. More 4's hour of the Games from 6.30pm had 641k (3.5%).

Over on BBC One, Liverpool police drama Good Cop premiered with 4.06m (17.8%), winning its slot over an old Doc Martin (2.42m/10.6%) on ITV1 (+1: 183k/1%) and The Hotel Inspector (1.7m/7.5%) on Channel 5 (+1: 132k/0.7%).

Athletics on BBC Two drew 1.35m (6.3%) for two hours from 7pm, then a Volcano Live special on Iceland interested 1.5m (6.6%).

Documentary Revealed grabbed 1.09m (4.7%) for Channel 5, while Celebrity Big Brother took 1.87m (10.6%) in the 10pm hour.

Overall, BBC One topped primetime with 18.6%, beating ITV1 which averaged 16.6% (+1: 0.7%). Channel 4 won the battle for third place with 9.9% (+1: 0.5%), above BBC Two's 5.4%, and Channel 5's 6.1% (+1: 0.3%).
