BBC Three pipped both Channel 4 and Channel 5 to finish third among the networks on Saturday night.
Classic Doctor Who (419k/2.2%), a second screening of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (1.22m/5.6%) and a repeat of Russell Howard's Good News (665k/3.9%) gave BBC Three an overall share of 4.5%.
Channel 4's movie Definitely Maybe managed 843k (3.9%) from 7.30pm (+1: 202k/0.9%) and 8 Out of 10 Cats amused 1.31m (6.2%) at 9.45pm (+1: 198k/1.3%), as the network had 4.4% in peak time (+1: 0.9%)
Big Brother topped Channel 5's night with 1.19m (6.3%) at 10pm, prior to which 1.12m (4.9%) watched Law & Order: SVU. The Richard Desmond broadcaster commanded a 4.3% share of the audience (+1: 0.4%).
BBC One's mammoth 31.2% share came thanks to a double header of Euro 2012 matches. Holland v Denmark and Germany v Portugal scored 5.62m (36.2%) and 7.69m (35.1%) respectively.
Meanwhile, in stark contrast, ITV1 could only muster an 8.6% average, logging 1.91m (10.3%) for You Cannot Be Serious at 7pm, 2.47m (17.8%) for You've Been Framed at 7.30pm, and 2.21m (9.9%) for an old Poirot from 8pm - the latter adding 140k (0.7%) on timeshift.
Elsewhere, Victoria Wood: A BAFTA Tribute (1.81m/8.3%) and Jools Holland: London Calling (1.19m/5.3%) aired on BBC Two (6.8%).
