Friday ratings: Bee Gees special pulls in 3.8m on ITV1

The Nation's Favourite Bee Gees Song scored 3.81m viewers and a 17% audience share for ITV1 last night, helping the commercial broadcaster to top the Friday night ratings.

Sandwiched between episodes of Coronation Street, Wild Britain with Ray Mears drummed up 3.17m (13.6%) at 8pm.

On BBC One, The Two Ronnies Sketchbook entertained 3.07m (13.1%) at 8.30pm, before Have I Got News For You summoned a stellar 5.24m (22.8%) to comfortably win its 9pm timeslot. Live at the Apollo rounded off the channel's evening of comedy with 3.38m (15%).

Mastermind held 2.02m (8.7%) in suspense on BBC Two at 8pm before Michel Roux Jr gave 2.06m (8.8%) his best culinary tips in Masterchef: The Professionals. Gardeners' World increased the audience ever so slightly to 2.12m (9.3%).

Channel 4's Come Dine With Me dipped below the 1m barrier, cooking up 920k (4%) at 8pm. It stayed strong on timeshift, however, with a +1 audience of 237k (1%). The Million Pound Drop Live took 1.76m (8%), with a further 212k (1.3%) catching up an hour later.

Ice Road Truckers interested 1.06m (4.5%), making it Channel 5's top Friday night primetime offering. Windtalkers followed with an average of 908k (4.8%).

Family Guy on BBC Three was the most-watched multichannel programme of the night. An epsiode screened at 10.55pm grabbed 918k (6.2%) viewers.

ITV1 topped the primetime audience table with 22.8%, and BBC One followed with a round 20%. BBC Two, Channel 4 and Channel 5 followed with scores of 7.8%, 5.8% and 3.6% respectively.

Great to sit for 1 1/2 hours & hear classic music from the Bee Gees :applause:
