Did you ever see a Steve Martin film called "The Lonely Guy"? A couple of us who saw it agreed it was uncomfortably realistic in its portrayal of single men and the lengths we'll go to to compensate for the absence of a partner.

Not seen that one. Need to keep a look out for it.
