It's that time of year when those who love a scary movie are in their element....and those that aren't hide behind the sofa.

If a horror film is your idea of a good time then Coventry's Cosy Cinema is the place for you at the end of the month.

The cinema at the Rialto Plaza in Coundon is running a season of Halloween classics for adults and children.

Family-friendly daytime viewings include SCOOB on October 26, The Witches on October 27, Casper on October 28 and Hocus Pocus on October 31.

Evening viewings include A Nightmare on Elm Street on October 26, Paranormal Activity on October 27, The Rocky Horror Picture Show on October 28 and The Shining on October 31.

A spokesman for The Rialto Plaza said "At the Rialto Plaza, community is at the heart of everything we do and there has been huge demand from our customers to bring back the cinema for good.

"The response so far has been amazing with tickets flying out the door. The Cosy Cinema Club offers the ultimate cinema experience, comfortable, slouchy velvet sofas and drinks, snacks and street food on demand.

"We are excited to announce our ongoing screenings with Halloween being our first big season of films. It's a privilege to bring the Cosy Cinema Club back to the heart of the community over 80 years since it first began."
