Slumdog's Dev Patel 'feels safe and happy' with Pinto

Slumdog Millionaire star Dev Patel has spoken of his love for long-term girlfriend Freida Pinto.



The 22-year-old actor told Bang Showbiz that Pinto, who he met while filming the Oscar-winning epic in 2008, allows him to be himself and talked about the impact that she has had on his life.

"Love makes you feel safe but excited at the same time. Freida makes me happy and inspires me. I am a mushy guy.

"You get to show a different side of yourself that you are not very comfortable showing other people," he continued. "It's great to have someone to come back to who you can be real with, because you are playing characters all day long."

Rumours that the couple are planning on getting married were supposedly quashed in June, when Patel denied reports that they were seen shopping for wedding rings.
