Eleven of the original cast from the 1979 film will be attending Covcon as special guests to help celebrate
Stars of retro TV and film will be descending on Coventry later this year as Covcon returns with some special guests.
The city's very own Comic Con event is back for its third year in September.
The centrepiece is a Quadrophenia 40th Anniversary reunion where a number of the cast will appear to sign autographs and take part in photo opportunities.
Eleven of the original cast from the 1979 film will be attending Covcon as special guests to help celebrate.
Stars of the movie including Phil Daniels, Leslie Ash, Toyah Willcox and Mark Wingett will be available to meet and you can also buy autographs and photoshoots at the event.
The event will also pay homage to British classics such as Dad's Army, Yes, Minister, Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads, Doctor Who and more with guests such as Ian Lavender, Derek Fowlds, James Bolam and John Leeson set to appear.
As well as retro guests Covcon will also have guests from contemporary shows and films such as Game of Thrones, The Last Kingdom and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Covcon event organiser, Jeff Cummings, said: “This is the largest gathering of Quadrophenia cast anywhere in the world this year and we are proud to be bringing them to Covcon.
"The response has been extremely positive and we would love the people of Coventry and the surrounding areas to come along and make the most of this amazing opportunity.
"At this year’s event we will have roughly 40 guests from film and TV including stars from Dad’s Army, The Likely Lads, Hi de Hi and many more!”
Covcon 2019 takes place on Saturday, September 28, at the Sports Connexion in Ryton from 10am to 5pm.
