Minions holds off Ted 2 challenge to top the UK box office

Minions has topped the UK box office for a third week running.


The animated feature pulled in £4.1 million and edged out Seth MacFarlane's Ted 2, which opened in second place with £3.8 million.

Jurassic World stayed in third with £1.8 million, while Terminator Genisys dropped to fourth. Magic Mike XXL rounded off the top five.

Elsewhere in this week's chart, new releases Love & Mercy and Song of the Sea landed in ninth and tenth spot respectively.
