Jennifer Lawrence movie Serena for surprise autumn release

The Jennifer Lawrence-starring Serena has been announced for an autumn UK release.



Bradley Cooper also stars in the long-delayed period drama, which will arrive in October, reports Stylist.

Director Susanne Bier wrapped filming on the Ron Rash adaptation two years ago.

The film stars Serena and George Pemberton (Lawrence and Cooper), a couple who run a powerful timber empire in the North Carolina mountains in the 1920s.

Serena is powerful and independent, but when she discovers her husband's dark secret it threatens to destroy the world she has built.

Serena will arrive in UK cinemas on October 24. A US release date is yet to be announced.
