'The Conjuring' tops US box office

The horror movie stars Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Lili Taylor and Ron Livingston, and focuses on a family who are terrorized by ghosts in a secluded home.
Debuting at number one, the film earned $41.5m, pushing last week's winner Despicable Me 2 into second place with $25m.
