Hollywood icon Robert Redford has died at age 89



Redford died earlier today "at Sundance in the mountains of Utah - the place he loved, surrounded by those he loved," his publicist confirms

"He will be missed greatly," Cindi Berger says, adding that the family are requesting privacy

The retired actor turned director starred in movies like Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid and All The President's Men

Redford founded the Sundance Film Festival, which takes place annually in Utah in the US in 1978

Butch Cassidy is the only thing I can remember him being any good in and he milked that for the rest of his life.

I watched The Old Man With A Gun a few weeks ago, and I quite enjoyed it.

But certainly Butch and Sundance were the mutts nuts.
