Sarah Jessica Parker 'hopeful for Sex And The City 3'

Sarah Jessica Parker has revealed that she is hopeful of another instalment in the Sex And The City movie series.

The actress said that regardless of the franchise's future, she is confident the characters will not soon be forgotten.

"I hope Carrie will live on," she told US Weekly.

"She will live on - even if the movies don't."

Sex And The City 2 has underperformed at the US box office and was recently beat out by Shrek 2 over Memorial Day weekend.

However, Parker insisted that she takes nothing for granted and said that she is lucky to have had so many opportunities with the show.

"I feel blessed that we've told so many stories about these lovely characters."
