The EastEnders omnibus is returning to our TV screens, so fans can now visit Albert Square on the weekend.

EastEnders – which currently airs Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays – is expanding its availability, with the BBC One soap set to become part of BBC Three's new weekend schedule.

Ahead of its re-launch next month, BBC Three has confirmed that EastEnders fans will be able to get their fix of Walford drama on Saturday and Sunday evenings.

As per Walford Central, BBC Three will air repeats of the week's episodes from Monday and Tuesday from 7.10pm on Saturday. Rather than air all four episode back-to-back, the omnibus will be split across two days, with episodes from Thursday and Friday airing on Sunday from 7pm.

So, if you're too busy in the week to catch up with your Albert Square favourites, you've now got the weekend to keep up to date.

Meanwhile, in other 'Enders news, Rainie Highway actress Tanya Franks has opened up about her character's reaction to husband Stuart's breast cancer diagnosis.

Following Friday's (January 21) episode, which saw Stuart finally share the news with Rainie, Tanya said that the Highways will be focusing on the "family unit" from now on.

"It was a definite shock but I think her first port of call was understanding and caring for him because Rainie knew that he must not have known how to tell her," she explained. "Her thoughts also went to them as a family – they've got a baby on the way. It's very much looking after the family unit."
