EastEnders fans won't be treated to their usual dose of Walford action later on as there is no episode this evening (February 1).

As we all know, EastEnders usually airs at 8pm on a Friday evening, but tonight's slot is being taken up by BBC One's live coverage of France v Wales in the Six Nations Rugby tournament. The match starts at 7.25pm, with kick-off at 8pm.

But let's not forget that EastEnders did air twice last night (January 31), allowing viewers to still get exactly the same number of episodes this week as they would usually.

Thursday's double bill saw Mel (Tamzin Outhwaite) grow increasingly disturbed by Hunter's behaviour, ultimately turning to Ian Beale for advice.

However, after Mel decided to report Hunter's murder crime to the police, the teenager retaliated by warning that she was dead to him if she followed through with it.

Elsewhere on the Square, Keanu found himself on the receiving end of Phil Mitchell's temper after he dumped the hardman's daughter Louise.

EastEnders will continue on Monday, February 4 at 8pm on BBC One.
