EastEnders' postponed screening from Tuesday logged just over 7.1m yesterday evening, according to overnight figures.

The episode, which saw Masood ask Jane if he could go to America with her, drew 7.14m (33.6%) at 7.30pm. BBC Three's 10pm repeat added 784k (4.8%) and was the most-watched programme of the day.

John and Cain's ongoing motor argument in Emmerdale, meanwhile, was seen by 6.29m (31.9%) at the show's usual time of 7pm.

Doctors' ep, titled 'Consequences', put in 1.58m (23.3%) in its early afternoon slot of 1.45pm.

Five's Australian hour began with 1.42m (10.7%) tuning in for Neighbours at 5.30pm, before 985k (5.9%) witnessed Nicole and Aden's breakup in Home and Away.

Fiver's first look at this evening's Home and Away interested 482k (2.6%), while 134k (0.7%) caught Neighbours' 7pm repeat.

Hollyoaks dipped below the million mark again, taking 962k (5.2%) from 6.30pm. E4's first look took 297k (1.5%) half an hour later and 119k (0.5%) on timeshift.
