Coronation Street claims 6.8m with Tyrone's stealing shame

Coronation Street topped the midweek soap ratings (December 30) as Tyrone Dobbs hit a new low, overnight figures show.

The Weatherfield drama brought in 6.82m (29.9%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 234k (1.1%) on +1 as Kevin caught a desperate Tyrone stealing from the garage.

Emmerdale attracted 5.87m (26.9%) at 7pm on ITV and 140k (0.7%) on +1 as Ross remained in hot water over Robert's shooting.

Hollyoaks appealed to 725k (3.5%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Alfie ended up on the wrong track in the search for his real father (+1: 27k / 0.1%).

Afterwards, an hour-long first look airing of Hollyoaks featuring Freddie Roscoe's return entertained 524k (2.3%) at 7pm on E4 and 192k (0.9%) on +1.
