Coronation Street topped the ratings with its single episode on Friday (December 18), overnight figures show.Striking back ahead after Thursday night's dip, the Weatherfield soap pulled in 6.36m (33.0%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 170k (0.9%) on +1 as Rob vowed to involve Robert in his vengeful plans for Tracy.
Emmerdale claimed 5.48m (30.4%) at 7pm on ITV and 125k (0.6%) on +1 as Debbie faced a backlash following the incident with Moses.
Airing against ITV's Text Santa, EastEnders attracted 5m (24.9%) at 8pm on BBC One as Jean continued to explain the surprising story behind Stacey's mysterious key. BBC Three's repeat added 330k (1.8%) at 10pm.
Hollyoaks interested 769k (4.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Celine was left disappointed when Cameron let her down (+1: 32k / 0.2%), while E4's first look followed with 502k (2.8%) at 7pm (+1: 80k / 0.4%).
Neighbours' 2015 season finale episode entertained 749k (10.3%) at 1.30pm and 683k (3.8%) at 6pm on Channel 5 as Paige was kidnapped and Paul got his comeuppance.
Elsewhere, Doctors finished up for the year with 1.3m (18.9%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
