Coronation Street claims 7m with Rob and Tracy's reunion

Rob Donovan's return kept Coronation Street on top of the soap ratings on Monday (December 7), overnight figures show.

Corrie was the most-watched programme of the day, bringing in 7.02m (33.7%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 125k (0.6%) on +1 as Tracy agreed to pay a visit to Rob in prison. 6.91m (31.5%) returned at 8.30pm and 173k (0.9%) on +1 as Rob tried to trick Tracy by turning on the charm.

EastEnders attracted 6.36m (28.9%) at 8pm on BBC One as Bobby confessed to pushing Jane down the stairs. BBC Three's repeat added 359k (2.1%) at 10pm.

Emmerdale interested 5.88m (30.1%) at 7pm on ITV and 149k (0.7%) on +1 as a mistake from Paddy jeopardised his adoption plans with Rhona.

Neighbours' lunchtime screening was Channel 5's top show of the whole day, claiming 853k (12.4%) at the earlier time of 1.35pm as Steph blackmailed Paul to get him off her back. The teatime repeat added 711k (4.0%) at the later time of 6pm.

Hollyoaks aired to 848k (4.4%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Patrick suggested sending Nico away (+1: 37k / 0.2%), while E4's first look topped a quiet night for the multichannels with 573k (2.9%) at 7pm and 146k (0.7%) on +1.

Elsewhere, Doctors continued with 1.49m (23.4%) at 1.45pm on BBC One as Valerie returned to work despite her recent troubles.
