Coronation Street brings in 6.92 million viewers on Friday

Coronation Street topped Friday night's ratings (November 20), as an average audience of 6.92 million (33.6%) tuned in to watch the latest drama between Leanne and Simon unfold.

A further 74k (0.3%) watched on ITV+1, while 6.1 million (27.8%) tuned in at 8.30pm to see Leanne struggle with her decision.

​EastEnders wasn't far behind with 6.04m (29.1%) at 8pm on BBC One.​ A repeat of the episode, which saw Roxy demanding to know Charlie's fate, was seen by ​216k (1.0%​) at 10pm on BBC Three.

Back on ITV, an average audience of 5.81 million (30.5%) watched Ashley try to end things with Harriet on Emmerdale. A further 96k (0.5%) watched on ITV+1.

Home and Away kicked things off with 260k (3.5%) viewers at 1.15pm on Channel 5. A further 492k (2.8%) watched as Marilyn's deception was exposed at 6pm. Home and Away's 5* first look attracted an average audience of 267k (1.4%) at 6.30pm.

The day continued with 1.43 million (20.2%) for Doctors on BBC One at 1.45pm.

Neighbours, meanwhile, was seen by 668k (9.3%) at 1.45pm on Channel 5, while the 5.30pm showing was seen by 557k (3.6%).

An average audience of 727k (3.9%) watched as Reenie was revealed as Pete's hit and run driver in Hollyoaks at 6.30pm on Channel 4. Another 72k (0.3%) watched on +1, while 633k (3.3%) watched E4's first look at 7pm.
