EastEnders brings in 6.2m as Shirley rescues Dean

EastEnders topped Thursday's soap ratings (November 19) with the fallout from Ronnie Mitchell's scheming, overnight figures show.

6.22m (30.8%) watched at 7.30pm on BBC One as Shirley rushed to Dean's rescue after realising that he was at Ronnie's mercy. BBC Three's repeat added 306k (1.7%) at 10pm.

Emmerdale brought in 5.95m (30.6%) at 7pm on ITV and 81k (0.4%) on +1 as Ashley confided in Bob about his devastating secret, while 5.62m (26.7%) returned at 8pm and 136k (0.6%) on +1 as the popular character had his dementia diagnosis confirmed in emotional scenes.

Hollyoaks aired to 884k (4.6%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Pete was knocked down on a country road (+1: 36k / 0.2%), while E4's first look continued to do well with 712k (3.7%) at 7pm and 145k (0.7%) on +1.

Doctors continued with 1.51m (20.9%) at 1.45pm on BBC One as Valerie received worrying news about her health.

Neighbours interested 737k (10.2%) at 1.45pm and 695k (4.5%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Amy wondered how far things had gone between her and Tyler.

Home and Away managed 236k (3.2%) at 1.15pm and 576k (3.2%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 369k (1.9%) at 6.30pm.
