Coronation Street topped Wednesday's soap ratings (November 18) with Tony Stewart's exit from the cobbles, overnight figures show.
6.84m (33.5%) tuned in at 7.30pm on ITV and 243k (1.1%) on +1 as Tony left Weatherfield following Liz's rejection. The episode also saw Leanne reach breaking point, almost hitting Simon following his latest outburst.
Emmerdale attracted 6.21m (31.6%) at 7pm on ITV and 181k (0.9%) on +1 as Paddy and Tess had a near-miss when Rhona came close to uncovering their affair.
Hollyoaks aired to 871k (4.6%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as the McQueens were left devastated by the truth about Pete (+1: 72k / 0.4%). E4's first look topped the multichannels again with 709k (3.6%) at 7pm and 114k (0.6%) on +1.
Neighbours interested 824k (11.2%) at 1.45pm and 674k (4.4%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Brad vowed to look after unwell Terese.
Doctors brought in 1.43m (19.6%) at 1.45pm on BBC One as Mrs Tembe became concerned over Valerie's behaviour.
Home and Away continued with 255k (3.4%) at 1.15pm and 499k (2.8%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 359k (1.9%) at 6.30pm.
