EastEnders topped Tuesday's ratings (November 3) with the aftermath of the Mitchells' eventful Halloween, overnight figures show.

6.42m (31.8%) tuned in at 7.30pm on BBC One as the family remained in shock following Gavin's revelations and Ben was stunned to find that the safe had been emptied. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 343k (2.1%) at 10pm.

Emmerdale attracted 5.96m (30.9%) at 7pm on ITV and 98k (0.5%) on +1 as Ross punched Nikhil after seeing him argue with Debbie.

Holby City claimed 4.43m (20.8%) at 8pm on BBC One as Arthur returned to work.

Hollyoaks remained steady with 866k (4.6%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Mercedes told John Paul that her unborn baby had stopped moving (+1: 10k / 0.0%), while the emotional aftermath was seen by 504k (2.6%) on E4's first look at 7pm (+1: 91k / 0.4%).

Doctors aired to 1.45m (22.5%) at 1.45pm on BBC One as Valerie had
her Cooks Heaven gathering.

Neighbours gathered 674k (10.4%) at 1.45pm and 635k (4.1%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as a huge fire threatened the school sleepout at Erinsborough High.

Home and Away managed 238k (3.5%) at 1.15pm and 566k (3.2%) at 6pm on Channel 5 as Marilyn suffered a nasty electric shock, while 5*'s first look had 453k (2.4%) at 6.30pm.
