Coronation Street topped Friday's soap ratings (September 25) with the fallout from the live episode, overnight figures show.6.91m (36.8%) tuned in at 7.30pm on ITV and 227k (1.1%) on +1 as the Platt family lived in fear following Callum's death. 6.63m (32.9%) returned at 8.30pm and 271k (1.3%) on +1 to see Callum's body get stuck at the Platt house as Jason and Gary poured concrete over the manhole in the garage.
Emmerdale attracted 5.61m (33.1%) at 7pm on ITV and 140k (0.7%) on +1 as Robert was shot by a mystery assailant. 5.12m (25.5%) returned at 8pm and 318k (1.5%) on +1 for the aftermath of the shooting in a scheduling clash with EastEnders.
EastEnders also dipped in the latest soap clash, claiming 4.5m (22.6%) at 8pm on BBC One as Max's trial continued and Dean's dark side returned. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 598k (3.5%) at 10pm.
Neighbours interested 704k (12.0%) at 1.45pm and 604k (4.8%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as pregnant Amber suffered a nasty fall.
