Coronation Street rises to 7.3m as Callum targets Audrey

Coronation Street rose back above the 7 million mark on Monday evening (September 14) as Callum's storyline continued to gather pace, overnight figures show.

Corrie was the top-rated programme of the day, bringing in 7.19m (35.0%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 122k (0.5%) on +1 as Callum decided to target Audrey. The audience increased to 7.33m (32.8%) at 8.30pm and 126k (0.6%) on +1 for the fallout as Ken came to Audrey's rescue.

EastEnders also had a strong night, claiming 6.58m (30.3%) at 8pm on BBC One as Lauren returned to Walford and Sharon came face-to-face with Kathy. BBC Three's repeat secured 395k (2.3%) at 10pm.

Emmerdale interested 5.77m (31.0%) at 7pm on ITV and 146k (0.7%) on +1 as Ross made a secret plan for revenge against Pete.

Hollyoaks entertained 816k (4.7%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 104k (0.5%) on +1 as Tony found a secret email that Harry had written to Ste. E4's first look followed with 616k (3.3%) at 7pm (+1: 94k / 0.4%).

Doctors aired to 1.49m (22.2%) at 1.45pm on BBC One with the continued fallout from the events of the 3,000th episode.

Neighbours grabbed 745k (11.0%) at 1.45pm and 554k (4.1%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Brad and Lauren finally gave into temptation.

Home and Away continued with 211k (3.0%) at 1.15pm and 466k (3.0%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 293k (1.7%) at 6.30pm.
