Shabnam and Kush's difficult baby storyline attracted over 6 million viewers on Bank Holiday Monday, overnight data reveals.

EastEnders was seen by an average audience of 6.25 million (27.7%) at 8pm on BBC One, while its BBC Three repeat brought in 379,000 (2.3%) at 10pm.

ITV's Coronation Street topped the night overall, with its 7.30pm showing gathering 6.85m (32.2%) and an added 180k (0.8%) on +1, and 7.05m (30.4%) at 8.30pm (160k/0.8%), as Tracy struggled to deal with Carla's guilt.

Earlier, Emmerdale was seen by 5.56m (27.1%) at 7pm (175k/0.8%) as Aaron was rocked by an outburst from Andy.

On Channel 4, Hollyoaks continued with 848k (4.5%) at 6.30pm as Ste betrayed Sinead after proposing. E4's first-look episode attracted 615k (3.0%) at 7pm (144k/0.6%).

Channel 5's Home and Away entertained 244k (2.4%) at 12.50pm and 518k (2.9%) at 6pm. 5*'s first-look brought in 348k (1.9%) at 6.30pm. Neighbours continued with 700k (6.8%) at 1.20pm and 565k (3.4%) at 5.30pm.
