Coronation Street topped the ratings on Monday (August 17) with more drama for the Platts and Callum, overnight figures show.
Corrie pulled in 7.07m (35.9%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 155k (0.7%) on +1 as the Platts finally reported Callum to the police for the recent gun incident with Max at his flat. 6.71m (31.2%) returned at 8.30pm and 147k (0.7%) on +1 as Callum wriggled his way out of trouble as Max lied for him when quizzed by the police.
EastEnders was back in second spot, attracting 6.16m (29.1%) at 8pm on BBC One as an eventful episode saw Kathy return, Cindy and Liam leave and Sharon discover that Bobby killed Lucy. BBC Three's repeat secured 324k (1.8%) at 10pm.
Emmerdale interested 6.01m (34.3%) at 7pm on ITV and 122k (0.6%) on +1 as Jai finally got his comeuppance when Megan turned against him.
Hollyoaks appealed to 887k (5.6%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Harry made a move on Ste (+1: 74k / 0.4%), while E4's first look had 569k (3.2%) at 7pm (+1: 91k / 0.4%).
Doctors aired to 1.38m (21.0%) at 1.45pm on BBC One as a chance to bring in Weston was missed by the police.
Neighbours entertained 726k (10.8%) at 1.45pm and 597k (5.1%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Sheila tackled Terese over her drinking.
