Coronation Street claims 7 million viewers on Monday evening

Coronation Street and Emmerdale led the way in the ratings on Monday (August 10), overnight figures show.

Corrie brought in 7.02m (36.5%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 172k (0.8%) on +1 as Tracy started to feel guilty over causing the fire, while 6.81m (32.1%) returned at 8.30pm and 215k (1.1%) on +1 as she revealed her true feelings to Robert.

Emmerdale's bounce from the recent helicopter crash continued, with 6.33m (35.7%) tuning in at 7pm and 177k (0.9%) on +1 as Chrissie confessed that the disaster was her fault.

EastEnders attracted 6.15m (29.7%) at 8pm on BBC One as Cindy told Liam that Bobby killed Lucy. BBC Three's repeat screening had 324k (1.9%) at 10pm.

Doctors rose to its best figure since March as 1.61m (21.4%) saw the aftermath of Emma and Howard's romantic weekend at 1.45pm on BBC One.

Hollyoaks claimed 852k (5.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Robbie pushed Jason over a ravine (+1: 51k / 0.3%), while E4's first look followed with 597k (3.4%) at 7pm (+1: 95k / 0.5%).

Neighbours managed 686k (9.1%) at 1.45pm and 750k (6.0%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Amber decided against going to the US.

Home and Away was seen by 248k (3.2%) at 1.15pm and 527k (3.5%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 348k (2.1%) at 6.30pm.
