EastEnders topped the ratings on Thursday (July 30) with the fallout from Max being charged with murder, overnight figures show.Catfight! Catfight!5.96m (32.4%) tuned in at 7.30pm on BBC One as Abi turned nasty when Stacey did some detective work on Max's behalf. BBC Three's repeat added 399k (2.7%) at 10pm.
Emmerdale attracted 5.39m (30.7%) at 7pm on ITV and 155k (0.8%) on +1 as Cain vengefully revealed Ross's baby secret to Debbie. The audience increased slightly to 5.45m (29.3%) at 8pm and 194k (1.0%) on +1 as Debbie and Ross hit the rocks.
Hollyoaks appealed to 678k (4.3%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Holly gave into temptation when offered legal highs. E4's first look followed with 483k (2.7%) at 7pm and 142k (0.8%) on +1.
Doctors was seen by 1.25m (18.1%) at 1.45pm on BBC One as Niamh continued to reconnect with her brother.
Neighbours had 628k (9.0%) at 1.45pm and 606k (4.9%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Josh came up with a cunning plan to stay close to Amber.
Home and Away continued with 220k (3.1%) at 1.15pm and 444k (3.1%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look secured 284k (1.8%) at 6.30pm.
