Coronation Street was the top-rated programme on Wednesday (July 29) with Cathy's accident, overnight figures show.
6.68m (34.8%) watched at 7.30pm on ITV and 359k (1.8%) on +1 as Roy warned Cathy that she was living in a death trap after a pile of boxes tumbled down on top of her at home.
Emmerdale continued with 5.51m (31.3%) at 7pm on ITV and 356k (1.9%) on +1 as Moira learned of Cain's kiss with Chrissie thanks to Ross' meddling.
Hollyoaks attracted 765k (4.7%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Lisa's lies started to unravel (+1: 68k/ 0.4%). E4's first look followed with 592k (3.4%) at 7pm and 128k (0.7%) on +1.
Doctors was seen by 1.33m (19.8%) at 1.45pm on BBC One as Howard and Emma's 40-day date project became the subject of gossip at The Mill.
Neighbours managed 593k (8.8%) at 1.45pm and 580k (4.7%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Jimmy discovered Sheila's secret feelings for Paul.
Home and Away entertained 246k (3.5%) at 1.15pm and 531k (3.6%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 289k (1.8%) at 6.30pm.
